David Casavant Archive is a private collection of the world’s rarest and most coveted garments and runway pieces collected over the last 20 years. In that time, the private archive has been loan-only to industry professionals. Now, select pieces are available for purchase.

One of “the most powerful archivists” in fashion, according to Vogue, the David Casavant Archive focuses primarily on the work of conceptual menswear designers of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, offering the most comprehensive scope of garments by Helmut Lang and Raf Simons. Begun in Casavant's native Tennessee when he was just 14, and curated over the span of more than two decades, the archive distinguishes itself through Casavant's distinct vision of youth and attitude. His curatorial expertise and connoisseurship have helped to create an unparalleled resource and aided the evolution of fashion’s current form.

Having appeared in publications such as GQ, Vogue, i-D, Dazed and T: The New York Times Style Magazine, pieces from the David Casavant Archive have been memorialized as icons in fashion and art. The Archive has loaned to notable artists such as Paul McCartney, Kanye West, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell, Dua Lipa, Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian, Young Thug, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Solange and Lorde.

In 2018, he released his book David Casavant Archive in collaboration with 15 artists in which they were invited to select items from the archive to serve as inspiration to create original works of art.

Each piece comes with a hang tag outlining any history the piece has had while in the archive such as magazine features, celebrity wearers and original runway image. Each piece is signed and dated to serve as a certificate of authenticity for the piece.

Pieces are now also available to buy in store at ALEXANDER (BY), 66 Greene Street, New York, NY, 10012.
